Origin

During the seven years that their son Kwong Wun battled leukaemia, Mr and Mrs Pau actively supported him in his fight against the disease. Although the medication gradually lost its effectiveness, in the final months of their son's life, they cherished their time together even more, carefully arranging Kwong Wun's daily life to ensure his remaining days were fulfilling and meaningful. After Kwong Wun's passing, the Paus wanted to use their experiences to help other families facing similar challenges. Thus, in 1998, they established the foundation, registered as a non-profit charitable organisation, and in 2004, it became a member of the Childhood Cancer International, a global organisation of various childhood cancer institutions. Currently, the foundation's board members include Paus, paediatricians, childhood cancer survivors, and professionals.

The foundation's emblem is derived from a drawing Kwong Wun made in his hospital room before his passing, depicting a smiling tiger cub, fully reflecting Kwong Wun's innocence and optimism even during his illness.
